Q4. What procedures should be followed and what supporting documents should be submitted if I want to change the sex entry on my identity card?
Update of HKID gender marker does not update legal gender
According to ImmD' Guideline:
"The sex entry on a Hong Kong identity card serves as an “identifier” helping to verify the identity of the person producing the card as its holder and does not represent change of the holder’s sex as a matter of law and an official recognition of the same for all legal purposes."

Taking female hormone for at least 2 years

Declare to take female hormone for the rest of one’s life

Submit blood report(s) for random checking of one’s hormonal profile as requested by ImmD

Declare to live in female gender for the rest of one’s life
Gender dysphoria

Report if correspondence address and/or contact number changed
